Tiredness and lethargy are to be expected if you’ve had a particularly busy period in your life

Maybe there was a looming deadline at work, or maybe the family have been extra demanding – but if you are constantly tired and lethargic, it could mean that you need to re-evaluate your health, and maybe even seek medical help.

Do you fall asleep at the drop of a hat?

Are you the first to doze off whilst watching your favourite programme on TV? Do you struggle to get out of bed in the mornings, feeling like you could sleep for a week? It could be that you need to increase the amount of magnesium in your body - Magnesium is contained in lots of every foods – such as leafy greens (kale and spinach), fruits (avocado, bananas, raspberries) and seafood (Tuna, Salmon & mackeral) – but even if you regularly eat these foods, it could still be that you’re not absorbing enough of this mineral into your body to really help you. Certain types of medication can also reduce the effect of any magnesium in your body too – so it’s worth getting an overview of any medication you are taking that could be to blame for low magnesium levels and causing fatigue.

Too much coffee?

Are you overdoing the coffee to try and keep yourself alert through the day? Caffeine stimulates your brain and body – but drinking too much of it can have an adverse effect on your body, and because the caffeine stays in your body for a long while after drinking it, it prevents you from relaxing – which in turn can be exhausting for you. There are other options though – our Solstic Energy  gives you the same results – without introducing caffeine into your system – instead it uses natural energy releasing ingredients of Guarana seed, Green Tea extract and Yerba Mate. This product comes in individual sachets so that you can take it with you and use it when you need it, wherever you are.

Vitamin B deficiency

Vitamin B is found in many dairy products and eggs – so a Vitamin B deficiency is something that is often seen in those following a vegan lifestyle, and the lack of this vitamin can lead to tiredness and fatigue too.

Even if you are following a vegan diet, you can still get a healthy dose of Vitamin B into your body without compromising your beliefs with our Vitamin B Complex tablets  – this product contains no animal by products at all, so is suitable for you.

If your tiredness is extreme, if you fall asleep in dangerous situations, or it’s difficult to wake you when you’re asleep, or if your fatigue is ongoing for a long period of time, then we would always recommend seeking medical help to rule out any underlying medical issues.
